Do you have trouble going to the gym? You have not even signed up yet? Would you like to beat laziness to go train? Have you answered affirmatively to any of these questions? Do not worry, today we are going to tell you how to motivate you to go to the gym.
Find the motivation to go to the gym with the following tips:
To train in company is better
The motivation will be greater if you join the gym in company. Find a friend, relative, partner, or a partner who signs up with you. You can go together, so the day you are lazy you will “force yourself” a little more, because you know that your companion will wait for you to train. You already know what the phrase says: «You will only arrive fast, but accompanied you will get far»
Find the perfect activity
The choice of activity is very important. Currently in many gyms you have full access to all activities in the monthly rate. If you do not know which one to choose, try different activities each week until you find your favorite one.
Nobody likes to be resigned to the gym, to an activity that bores us and does not motivate us. That’s why the choice is so important to keep motivation high. Find one that you like.
Find a motivating phrase
In moments of discouragement is where your motivating phrase comes into play. I have my phrase, and I use it for myself, as well as to motivate my students in class, although they have their own. Here you have a selection of the best motivational phrases for the gym.
Motivating phrases to train:
- Strength and growth come from the continuous effort
- The pain you feel today is the strength you will feel tomorrow.
- No pain, no gain (no pain, no gain)
- Wanting is power
- The distance between love and power is shortened with training
There are many more, infinite. Your creativity is the limit, find your phrase and make it your “war cry”.
Go directly to the gym
Another key to success in terms of motivation is to try to go to the gym after work, without going through the house. You can take the sports bag to the office or to your workplace, and on the way home, stop to train.
Another option is to go to training in the free time of the midday if you have a job with a split day. Many people take advantage of the lunch break to train.
Find a gym that suits you according to the location of your home and workplace, so you can plan your day. In this way you will be able to overcome laziness.
Track your goals
One of the tasks of a personal trainer is to track each of your clients. You can hire a personal trainer as an extra motivation, but if you do not want to spend more money you can also do a home monitoring of your own goals to motivate you.
Prepare a notebook or some cards to record your objectives. A good idea is a sticker calendar. Print or draw a calendar, and each day you meet the goal, put a sticker (or paint it, draw a smiley face, etc. …). Give yourself a “prize” for each full week or for each month you complete without missing a single day.
Propose a challenge
The fitness challenges are another way to motivate yourself. Most of them last for 30 days. This motivation advice is similar to the previous one. You can take each of these challenges as “goal of the month,” and mark the days completed in your “motivational calendar.”
We hope these tips have served you. Which one works for you? Do you have another one? We will be happy to see your comments.
